Harm Eggens

Harm Eggen

Harm Eggens, Erm, 1941 -

Since childhood Harm had always loved painting and drawing and so, on the recommendation of his schoolteacher, went to a technical college because there he would get plenty of drawing lessons. He learned about painting techniques in the laboratory of a paint factory. He later took courses at the Minerva Academy in Groningen and elsewhere, and wanted to become a drawing teacher. In Utrecht he gained an industry diploma in crafts and drawing. He also obtained his teaching certificate for drawing and became a drawing instructor in Musselkanaal and Emmen. Harm Eggens did a lot of his work in the area around his hometown, Erm.  Churches and church interiors have always held his particular interest. He was a student of Berend Hoving.
