Willy Schreuder lived and worked in Amsterdam and Groningen. She studied at the Minerva Academy in Groningen. Her teacher there was Arnold Willem Kort. In Amsterdam she was taught by Jan Korthals. She painted watercolours and drew landscapes with farmhouses, as well as village and townscapes in Groningen and Drenthe. In 1944 she married the well-known art dealer Gerard Gazendam from Groningen. She worked alongside him in the business and also restored paintings.
